I turned my atlas upside down, tore the thing in half then threw it out the window, let's take this car the last place we'd expect to go

This old train doesn't roll anymore, just look at the chips in the wood of those rickety tracks, I'm sure - I think I'm sure I've never seen you around here before

I'm going caffeine crazy, I worked myself up into a tired mess
my pulsing eyelids were so heavy
my burning ears were throbbing strawberry red
No wonder that when I heard the front door click, lock, shut, you wouldn't come back
when I bashed my head down on the concrete things were clearer than before - I was chasing an impossible dream that I couldn't wake up from, so I didn't wake up - I just slept and slept and I'm still asleep
If I take myself back to the days when I would watch you from the stairs
in the dark while the light poured out from the living room, if we could go back there... I drive myself crazy thinking 'when was the last time I was there?'
And when I crashed my head out on the settee, things were clearer than before - on the other side, the impossible dream that I couldn't wake up from just going on - round and round in my head
